What is wcMedNet.Com?

wcMednet.com is a network of physicians that have completed the Georgia State Board Medical Provider Training Program. They go through an extensive training program to receive the Workers’ Compensation Medical Provider Professional (MPWCP) designation from the State Board. Employers are given free access to the network by simply registering their information.

Why should I use wcMedNet.Com?

First of all the network is free. Also, you will note once you register for the network you have access to our knowledge library to assist your efforts to manage the cost of your claims. If employers utilize the Traditional Posted Panel option , the employer has the right to choose the physicians for their posted panel. The wcMednet.com network available for the Employers from the State Boards website and is a free tool to help you manage your Posted Panel.  In addition to gaining access to a database  of physicians that is knowledgeable about workers’ compensation you also will greatly improve the communication (for you and your injured employee’s) with your Authorized Treating Physician.

Why do I have to register for the network?

We require registration so we can capture your information. Once you enter the network and select a physician from the network to be posted on your panel your employer information will be sent electronically to the provider you have chosen. Often times the medical provider does not have this information which causes delays in treatment which increases the cost of claims and ultimately your cost of insurance. By having your information in advance of a claim, the medical provider will be to coordinate the medical management of the claim with you and/or your Insurance Company or TPA. Please note that your employer information will not be used by any third party for solicitation. If you choose a medical provider from the network that medical provider may contact you about listing them on your panel.

What happens if I am in a WC/MCO?

A WC/MCO has different rules than the Traditional Posted Panel. If you are in a WC/MCO you would have received notification from your WC/MCO and you have special procedures you have to follow when in a WC/MCO. If you have any questions regarding the WC/MCO contact your insurance broker or the WC/MCO.
